The Acre Civil Police began a 12-day task force to strengthen the fight against sexual crimes against children and adolescents in the municipalities of Cruzeiro do Sul and Tarauacá. The operation follows guidelines from the institution’s general management and focuses on the intensification of investigations, especially in cases of vulnerable rape.
Delegates and support teams were mobilized to act directly on local police stations, given the increase in demand for this type of occurrence. According to the delegate Roberto Lucena, the initiative seeks to give agility to investigations and reduce the incidence of abuse, which largely occur within the family environment.

In Cruzeiro do Sul, the delegate Vinícius Almeida pointed out that the perpetrators, in most cases, are close to the victim, such as parents, grandparents and other relatives. “We need extra attention. Victims often show signs such as isolation, anxiety crises, sudden behavioral changes and even physical symptoms that may indicate abuse,” he warned.
The Civil Police reinforce the appeal for family members, neighbors and education professionals to report any suspicion. Authorities point out that these crimes leave deep and often irreversible marks in the life of the victims.
In addition to investigating cases in progress, the action also has a preventive and educational character, with the objective of sensitizing society about the gravity of sexual abuse against children and adolescents and the importance of denunciation as a form of protection.
