The information is in a request for information made by the deputy (PP-ES), ally of Bolsonaro, who questioned the ministry about the absence of Guedes’s photography of the former farm’s gallery.
In the letter, signed by the Deputy Executive Secretary, the Ministry justifies that there is no record of internal norm that establishes procedures for the postering of former ministers portraits.
“Additionally, it should be noted that, with the unfolding of the Ministry of Economy, the specific figure of the Minister of State of Finance did not exist between 2019 and 2022,” he says in the answer.
“Considering that the gallery located in the national monetary council room is made up of official photographs of former ministers only from the farm, the photo of the then economy minister was not put to the wall of the room.”
Dubeux also states that the ministry is developing a restructuring of the photo gallery to transfer official portraits to a place to which the public has more access. “The insertion of the portrait of the then Minister of Economy, following those of the former farm ministers, will be evaluated after the completion of the initial phase of the project.”
