In such situations, it is worth having ready sheets of puff pastry on hand, just bake them and put it in a delicious, simple yolk cream and mascarpone. It is also worth using cherry frużelina for dessert, it can also be jam, the slightly sour fruit taste will harmonize well with the sweetness of the dough. In the article below we will tell you how to make a quick cake for the weekend.
You will need: to prepare a quick cake for the weekend:
- 2 sheets of puff pastry XXL (2 x 375 g),
- 500 ml of milk,
- ½ tablespoons of vanilla essence,
- 6 yolks,
- 120 g cukru,
- 50 g of potato starch,
- 50 g of soft butter,
- 250 g Serka Mascarpone,
- 200 g of cherry frużelina.
Divide each sheet of puff pastry into 2 smaller, identical rectangles. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Put the dough in a fork of several places. Heat the oven to 180 ° C. Bake the dough (in batches or – if possible in your oven – all at the same time) in golden color – bake for about 20 minutes. Cool
Grate yolks with sugar and starch to a light, fluffy mass. Boil milk in a saucepan with the addition of vanilla essence. Pour some hot milk into the yolk mass to harden it. Mix it vigorously with the rest of the hot milk.
Heat the contents of the saucepan – time stirring – on low burner power. Heat to obtain a thick, smooth pudding mass. At the end, mix the butter into it. Set aside to cool. Beat the chilled mascarpone cheese. Mix with cooled pudding mass.
Transfer the baked dough rectangles with cream. Apply some cherry frużelina on each layer. Brush the last of the countertops with a thin layer of cream.
Put the ready dough in the fridge for a few hours. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
