Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov He said on Friday that a visit to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučič in Moscow on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe was an act of heroism. Peskov said this in an interview for the first channel of Russian state television. TASS, TASR informs.

“Nowadays – especially when we are talking about Vučič and Fico – in fact it is a heroism. The real act of heroism, because it thus decides to show sovereign will in giving up respect for the memory of the day of victory despite the outrageous and crazy pressure is certainly worthy of the highest recognition,” He said Peskov.

Fico attended celebrations on Friday in Moscow as the only leader of the European Union countries. He briefly met Russian President Vladimir Putin before a military parade and talked to Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko.

He honored the memory of the fallen in the fighting by placing flowers on the grave of an unknown soldier in Alexandrovsky Orchard near the walls of the Kremlin. The Prime Minister of the Slovak Government also announced bilateral meetings with the presidents of Russia, Brazil and China.
