Concerned suspicions of corruption and falsification of document from Operation Picoas, which will have defrauded the state by over 100 million euros.
The former president of the Board of Directors of Altice Portugal Alexandre Fonseca A defendant was constituted this Friday in the context of Operation Picoas, confirmed the manager’s defense.
The information that Alexandre Fonseca was interrogated this morning by the Public Prosecution Service at the Central Department of Action and Criminal Investigation (DCIAP) in Lisbon, was advanced by and confirmed by the lawyer of the former administrator of Altice Portugal.
“He was constituted defendant, made statements in a due diligence, now suspended to continue to appoint,” he told Lusa Rogério Alves, referring to that time further statements about the case.
At issue in the Picoas Process are suspected of corruption and falsification of document, related to decisions of the Altice group that will have defrauded the state in more than 100 million eurospreviously indicated the Public Prosecution Service.

Two suspects related to the Altice case are Armando Pereiraone of the owners of the group, and the businessman and right-hand man Hernani Vaz Antunes. Also on the list are the daughter of Hernâni (Jessica Vaz Antunes) and economist Álvaro Loureiro.
The prosecutor suspects that Armando Pereira and Hernani Antunes were taking advantage of Altice’s business to be millionaire percentages – e hide these millions from the tax authorities.
