The police inquiry was concluded by the Civil Police of the State of Ceará (PCCE), through the Environmental Protection Police Station (DPMA), on Wednesday (7). The investigations proved that the companion of the former Scooby tutor, was also responsible for the animal.
The couple is available to the judiciary. According to the Penal Code, the penalty for the crime of abuse is two to five years in prison, as well as a fine and prohibition of animal custody.

Scooby suffered from severe anemia, myiasis, blood nodules on the skin and other health problems. At the time, police found the animal trapped in a corridor, without access to food and water, with about three pounds of dirty and hardened hair that made it difficult to move.
During care at the veterinary clinic, Scooby had to undergo a delicate grooming process, done manually with scissors due to the severity of the case. Because of skin lesions, the dog needed anesthesia and the procedure was divided into steps.
A CNN He spoke to the new tutor, activist Stefani Rodrigues, and according to her, Scooby is fine, despite the advanced age and fragility. “Due to his age, his view is affected.
