India and Pakistan climbed on Friday, 8, the conflict and began to attack military targets, with heavy bombing reported on both sides of the border. Explosions were recorded in the city of Jammu, in the Indian Caxemira, causing a total blecate. The government of India said it had “neutralized” the air defense system of the Pakistani city of Lahore.
The exchange of fire began on Wednesday, 7, (Tuesday night, 6, in Brazil), when India bombed “nine terrorist targets” in the Pakistani territory-the deepest attacks within Pakistan in decades. The operation, according to Indian prime Minor, Narendra Modi, was retaliated with an attack by Islamic combatants who killed 26 people in Pahalgam, in India -controlled cashmira in April.
The Pakistani government has denied involvement in the attack and said the Indian Air Force has reached six locations, none of them linked to the two most famous terrorist organizations in Pakistan, the Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Jaish-e-mohammad. Islamabad guarantees to have knocked down five Indian fighters, including three French -made Rafale jets – Paris confirmed the overthrow of at least one aircraft.
Yesterday, India and Pakistan continued to claim that they were not looking for a climb in the conflict. Reality, however, indicated that the two archirrivals are not ready to reduce tensions.
The Indian government said it had frustrated Pakistani attempts to launch drones and missiles against military targets in 15 cities and towns, including Amritsar, Srinagar and Chandigarh. The Ministry of Defense of India cited attacks on three military bases: in Jammu and Udhampur, Caxemira, and Pathankot, in Punjab.

A high -ranking security officer of the Pakistani government told the British newspaper The Guardian that Pakistan had not yet started retaliatory attacks against the Indians. “We have not fired any missiles or perform attacks with drones within India or any military facility,” he said. “These are false news from Indian authorities. The answer will come now.”
Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also denied that his country is responsible for any attack at Caxemira Indiana. “We won’t attack and then deny it,” Asif told the BBC. “Everyone will know when Pakistan decides to attack.” Pakistani security sources said the allegations of India aim to create a “misleading narrative” that Pakistan is attacks within India.

Asif was one of the few within the Pakistani government to adopt a moderate tone. On Wednesday, he assured that Pakistan had already responded to Indian airplanes and drones and promised not to climb the conflict if India avoided further attacks and agreed with an independent investigation into the crisis. Yesterday, however, the minister warned of the “clear possibility” that “confrontation will expand.”
India Minister of Defense, Rajnath Singh, justified the military climb and did not rule out new actions. “We always play the role of a responsible nation,” he said. “If someone tries to take advantage of our patience, he should be prepared to face attacks like yesterday.”
In a sign of international concern for conflict, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke yesterday with leaders from both countries and emphasized the need for “immediate reduction in climbing”, according to the State Department. The American Vice President Jd Vance said the White House does not intend to get in the crisis. “It’s not our own,” he said.
