India attacks Pakistan, today live: last hour of the bombardments in cashmere and tension escalation

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, that Pakistan will defend his sovereignty “at all costs”, during a telephone conversation in the framework of the tension escalation with India. “The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm determination to defend his sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs,” the Pakistani Prime Minister’s office reported in a statement. Sharif also transmitted to Rubio that Pakistan had the right “to act in legitimate defense”, in response to yesterday’s air attacks, in which, according to Islamabad, 31 civilians died and 57 were injured. “The attacks of India violated Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, putting peace and stability in the southern region of Asia,” reads the statement. India argue that the attacks were directed against infrastructure used by terrorists in Pakistan and that they served in response to the terrorist attack on April 22 in the Kashmir administered by India, in which 26 people died, and of which New Delhi accuses the neighboring country.
