MEPs Slovakia arrived in Kiev, Fico criticized for a visit to Russia

MEPs visited Kiev Movement to express support for Ukraine at a time when Prime Minister Fico celebrated the end of World War II in Moscow.

MPs of the National Council of the Slovak Republic from the opposition movement Slovakia Igor Matovič, Roman Mikulec and Gábor Grendel visited the capital of Ukraine Kiev on Friday. They did so at a time when the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico is located in Moscow at the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. They criticized the Prime Minister’s visit. TASR informed the spokesman of the movement Matúš Bystriansky.

“Millions of people in Slovakia felt shame and a sense of betrayal when they saw Fico worshiping and kissing the symbolic ring of murderer Putin. That’s why we came here to encourage Ukrainians on behalf of these people that Slovakia is not just Fico,” said Igor Matovic.

Signal sending

According to its own words, Slovakia wants to send a signal to the European Partners of the Slovak Republic that there are many people in Slovakia who are aware of who is in the war in Ukraine aggressor and who is the victim.

MEPs also revealed a 17 -meter -long banner in Kiev Square, where the foot fingers of 682 children killed in the war in the war in Ukraine.
