The Moscow military parade first appeared combat drones, which Russia uses in the war in Ukraine.
Part of the military show at the Moscow Cerny Square was on Friday for the first time also combat drones, which Russian forces use in the war in Ukraine. According to DPA and Reuters reports, TASR reports this.
Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Si Jin-Pching, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and more than two dozen other foreign leaders watched how vehicles with drones and other military technology pass through the vast square. State television commentator said that the drones were largely used in Ukraine.
Drone’s performance
Drones Lancet, Geran-2, Orlan-10 and Orlan-30 were also presented on the 80th anniversary of World War II. Reuters explains that Orlan drones are used for exploration missions and the selection of goals. Zala Lancet is a type of drone called “waiting ammunition”, used to attack and research. This type of drone during the war in Ukraine destroyed a number of Ukrainian military equipment, including tanks and a military plane.
Geran-2 is a Russian suicide or kamikadze drone whose design comes from Iran, where its previous version was made. The Russian forces used them during the war to attacks against the Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Kiev also accused Moscow of using them to attack residential buildings. Russia, however, denies that it would deliberately attack civilians.
Another military technique
The Russian army has also performed tanks, armored transporters and exploratory vehicles, howitzers, S-400 air defense systems and the launchers of the strategic missile missile system. The military show ended with the flight of fighters, which created a tricolor over the Red Square.
In his speech before the tour, Putin compared the fight of the Soviet Union against the Nazis to the war, which Russia had unleashed against neighboring Ukraine more than three years ago, although the Kremlin continues to refer to this war as “special military operation”, DPA writes. The Kremlin chief also said that the participants of this “special military operation are supported by the whole country, society and the nation”.
