The German Interior Security Service has committed not to classify as “proven extremism” to the ultra -right -wing party until the urgent demand presented by the party before the Administrative Court of Colonia is settled, as reported on Thursday this institution.
The court announced in a statement that the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BFV) has informed him that, causing a great media and international stir.
This implies that the BFV will not publicly refer to AFD as an extremist and will erase the corresponding statement from its website, according to the court’s note, while the German media indicated that the Secret Service will not use the expanded surveillance tools available against extremist organizations.
AFD, the main force of the opposition, had filed an urgent demand last Monday for which it demanded that Justice prohibit the BFV to classify it as an extremist.
“Partial success”
The colleges of the ultra -rightist party, Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla, described what happened this Thursday as an “important first step towards exoneration and, with it, against the accusation of right -wing extremism” and “partial success” against the BFV.
In 2024, the party lost in second instance a similar demand so that the BFV could not qualify AFD as “suspicious of extremism.”
