We plant this type of plant in spring or autumn. May is a good month to place it in the ground, thanks to which she will have a lot of time to root before cooler months. It should be planted in places sheltered from the wind. It is best found on slightly acidic and well -permeable soils. It is important that water is not lying in the place where it is placed. Before the arrival of winter, young plants must be protected, e.g. with agrotextile. Older magnolias only require the roots to protect, this can be done by mulching the soil around the plant. It is also good to irrigate the tree abundantly before the frost arrival. Apart from these issues, large -flowered magnolia does not require special care.
Grandiflora multi -flower magnolia grows about 30 cm per year. It does not tolerate too dry and heavy soils. It is also not a species that requires frequent pruning, but it is worth systematically removing the withered branches.
