The Civil Protection of Madeira registered 26 occurrences this Saturday due to bad weather, which caused floods, declared and led to the closure of a stretch of the expressway in the municipality of Ribeira Brava.
“Until 09:30 on May 10, we registered 26 occurrences related to adverse weather conditions, which involved 58 operational and 26 terrestrial media,” according to a note published on the Civil Protection Service page.

Ribeira Brava, where Express 4, in the Serra de Água section, is prohibited due to the total obstruction of the road, was the county that recorded more occurrences (13), followed by Santa Cruz (five), Funchal (four), Lobos Chamber (two), Ponta do Sol (one) and Machico (one).
