Elkjaer dos Santos Lima Cavalcante, 39, better known as “Elk”, was killed by knife blows on public roads on Friday, 9, on Epaminondas Jácome Avenue, in the Cai Velha neighborhood of Rio Branco.

According to witnesses, Elkjaer was walking down the street when two unidentified men, on a motorcycle, approached him and, armed with knives, struck several blows, and seven hit the victim in the chest region. After the action, the criminals fled the scene.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was not called to certify the death of Elkjaer.
Military police from the 1st Battalion were at the scene, isolated the area for the work of the Criminal Expertise and then gathered information and patrolled the region in search of arresting the perpetrators of the crime, but they were not found.
Upon completion of the expertise, Elkjaer’s body was removed and sent to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) for cadaverous examinations.
The police could not inform the motivation of the crime.
The case initially follows under investigation of Civil Police agents of the Emergency Team (EPE) and will later be available to the Homicide and Personnel Protection Police Station (DHPP).
