Kits aimed to promote the ENGY EDUCATION PROGRAM; Submission of the material was determination of Secom
The Ministry of Education spent R $ 25,080 to send 600 pairs of socks to deputies and senators in February. The action was determined by Secom (Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency) to promote the Pé-Degia Program, which allocates resources to a kind of savings for low-income students.
The amount was detailed in a response sent by the Ministry to Deputy I (União Brasil-SP) in May the questions made by the congressman about the spending on marketing action. Read A (PDF – 358kb). Each pair of socks cost R $ 41.80.
The kits were handed over to congressmen of the allied base of the Government of (PT) and the opposition on February 25, the same day the executive began to pay the installment of $ 1,000 to students participating in the program. The program is one of the main flags of the Lula 3 government, which has faced since 2025 problems in its popularity. In the document sent to Kataguiri, the ministry, however, says that the amounts were paid by the agency to the company Living Eventos, hired to provide dissemination and promotion items and activities of the Pé-De Menia program. The contract establishes the possibility of producing various objects such as t -shirts, glasses, ecobag, cap, banner, pamphlets, vests and botons. MEC does not mention resources funded by Caixa.
Viver Eventos was hired in September 2024 for R $ 36.1 million to hold events, internal and external receptions and activities of the Ministry of Education throughout the country. The contract is valid for 1 year, renewable for up to 10 years.

“Dear deputies,
