The proposal determines that the refund is made with monetary correction; Proposal is by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro
In response to undue discounts on pensions, the senator (PL-RJ) presented a bill to oblige the INSS (National Institute of Social Security) to reimburse, within 3 months, the amounts passed without authorization to associations. The proposal also determines the monetary correction and requires the INSS to individually notify each person affected, detailing the returned values and the form of calculation.
According to the CGU (Comptroller General of the Union), more than 3,700 complaints about irregular discounts were made from January 2023 to April 2025. In this case, 98% of retirees said they did not authorize payments. Flávio Bolsonaro also defended a CPMI to investigate reports of irregularities.
“This is an agenda that has to unite the entire National Congress. So I believe this CPMI will be installed very soon, so that we can deepen and know who people are in the current government or any other government who have participated in such scandalous and so vexing, humiliating like this.”declared the senator.
Government congressmen also advocate punishment to those responsible and ensure that the executive is acting to correct the failures. The Senator (PT-PE) states that the President (PT) wants to accelerate reimbursement to beneficiaries and combat irregularities in the system.
“We are in a huge comb to support all irregular discounts and, as the Federal Attorney General’s Advocacy has announced, to recover what was illegally taken from retirement and pensions so that the amounts are properly refunded to injured beneficiaries. There will be no corruption condescension or corrupt by this government.”said Humberto Costa.
The proposal also authorizes the relocation of government advertising to fund return and creates a national policy for preventing fraud in the INSS.
