A man and a woman were arrested for theft in educational and misuse of credit cards in Almada and Sesimbra, awaiting trial in pre -trial detention, GNR told Sunday.

In the context of an investigation, “which has taken place since January 2025”, for thefts in an educational establishment and in commercial establishments and for misuse of credit cards, in the municipalities of Almada and Sesimbra, Setúbal district, the guard military performed steps that “allowed the suspects practiced theft.

In the course of the operation, four searches were performed, two households and two in vehicles, culminating in the detention of the suspects and the seizure of a vehicle used in the practice of thefts, three laptops, three tablets, five mobile phones and one self -employed.
GNR also seized tools and garments associated with theft.
The detainees were constituted defendants, and the facts were sent to the Setúbal Court.
“The man was subject to the measure of coercion of pre -trial detention, while the woman was determined the obligation of biseemal presentations at the police office of the area of residence,” he added in the same note.
