The Slovaks returned to the wild and dangerous 90s through the films Miki and Černák. The first part follows the path of the former bus driver at the forefront of the Slovak Mafia. The continuation of the thriller is based on real events and transmits viewers to the time when Mikuláš Černák, a boy from Telgárt, became respected by the mafia group. However, it wants to dominate the whole of Slovakia and be the boss of all bosses.
The whole story of the boss of the Slovak underworld, which the creators told in two films, came to the cinemas throughout Slovakia more than 780,000 spectators. The creators even managed to rewrite history. The film Černák has become the most profitable film of modern Slovak history.
The film, according to Mira Slipra’s screenplay, was shot by director Jakub Kroner, more than 400,000 spectators watched the cinemas and reached more than 3.2 million euros. In the attendance, the film also surpassed the political thriller of the pig, even in sales, even a blockbuster Avatar: Water Road, which has been the most profitable film in Slovak cinemas so far.
The Slovaks can already watch films thanks to streaming platforms in the comfort of their homes. One viewer saw the mistake that missed the creators or hoped that people would not notice it.
