President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is already in China after a trip to Russia, where he met the local counterpart, Vladimir Putin. By social network X, the head of the Brazilian executive said he is in Beijing to close new partnerships and sign cooperation agreements in multiple areas.
“It is another big step in the relationship of friendship and strategic proximity with China, Brazil’s largest commercial partner since 2009,” he posted the agent, applying images of the flags of Brazil and China.
Along with the text, Lula published a photo in which he appears next to the first lady, Janja da Silva, being welcomed with flowers by local children.
They also landed from the presidential flight, according to the image, ministers Mauro Vieira (Foreign Relations) and Alexandre Silveira (Minas and Energy), among other members of the entourage.
The president’s official agenda in the country begins on Monday, when he should participate in the closing of the China-Brazil Business Seminar. Already on Tuesday will make a speech at the opening of the IV China-Celac Forum.
In the afternoon of the same day, bilateral meetings are planned with the chairman of the Permanent Commission of the National Assembly, Zhao Leji; The Prime Minister of China, I read Qiang; and China’s president, Xi Jinping. Still, a signature ceremony of acts and joint statement to the press is expected. Following, the president returns to Brazil.
