The image was projected by drones next to Rio de Janeiro on the last Friday (9.MAI.2025). The initiative was carried out by the producer who releases the short film “Aparecida- The Movie ” And he tributes to Mother’s Day celebrations this Sunday (11.MAI).
The projection occurred at the top of Corcovado, one of the most emblematic sights of the state capital. The event highlighted the figure of the patron saint of Brazil, revered as the mother of Jesus, on a date dedicated to motherhood.
“A meeting of Our Lady Aparecida with Christ, her son, who carries the dreams of millions of Brazilians. It is our tribute to mothers from all over Brazil and from all over the world – larger symbols of love, strength and welcome”, Said the producer in publication in the official profile of Instagram.

Devotion to Our Lady Aparecida began in 1717, when fishermen found an image of Our Lady of Conception on the Paraíba do Sul River. The statue was divided into two pieces – body and head. The Catholic Church officially recognized Our Lady Aparecida as patron saint of Brazil in 1930.
