A 12 -year -old child was seriously injured after an accident involving a motorcycle, which occurred on Saturday (10) in the João Alves neighborhood, near the Dom Henrique Ruth school in Cruzeiro do Sul. The victim was rescued by a delicate Samu team.
The child suffered a fracture in the tibia and possible fracture in the distal femur, as well as a deep laceration in the back of the thigh with bone exposure and various abrasions on the limbs. A skull sinking was also identified in the left temporal region, with otorreaia, which is the liquid exit through the ear, which may indicate severe internal injury.
“The team has stabilized at the site. We managed analgesia to relieve pain, allowing immobilization with more peace of mind,” explained the Samu team.
Despite the severity of the injuries, the child was awake, but had signs that inspire intensive care. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation and specialized care.
The motorcycle driver had only light abrasions and did not present other complications, as reported by the Samu team.
The circumstances of the accident will still be investigated by the local authorities.
