Have you ever wondered how many words we use every day not knowing if we are pronounced correctly?

The truth is that many words are part of our vocabulary early on, but we don’t always learn the right way to say them.

And the most curious thing is that the mistakes go unnoticed, even in conversations with other people.

6 words that almost every Brazilian speaks wrong without realizing

1.

This is champion of confusion. A lot of people pronounce “rubric” with the strong sound in “i” (rubric), but the correct form is with the stressed syllable in “u”: Rubrica.

It refers to the signature or personal brand, usually done quickly and summarized.

2.

Another example of words that cause doubt is “inexorable.” The error here is subtle but common. Many people pronounce as if it were “well“With the wrong accent.

The correct is inexorablewith the “Ra” as a tonic syllable.

This word, which is something inevitable or adamant, seems complicated, but is part of many speeches, reports and even music.

3.

Here the error depends on the context. When we talk about financial aid, the right is “subsidy”, with the sound of “S”.

But when referring to support or support in the most general sense, one can use “zubsidio“, Com I’m de“ Z ”.

Confusion happens because not everyone knows that meaning changes pronunciation.

Who never needed this antibiotic and said “AmoxiliChina“? The correct name is Amoxicillinwith “CI” really, without exchanging for “SI”.

It is such a common mistake that even health professionals make sometimes.

This one seems hard to look at. And so, a lot of people pronounce as “poliomelitis”, jumping “i” in the middle. But the correct form is poliowith all syllables.

It is a serious illness, and knowing the right name helps not only in pronunciation, but also in awareness of the importance of vaccination.

6. Eyebrow

This is one of those words that we use since I was little, but that doesn’t always speak the right way. A lot of people say “shadow”, with an “m” or even invent letters.

The correct form is eyebrowwith the “S” between the letters “B” and “C”.
