The CGU (Comptroller General of the Union) reached R $ 10 billion recovered to public coffers through leniency agreements with companies involved in illicit practices. The value reflects the effectiveness of the instrument as a mechanism of accountability of companies and strengthening public and private integrity.

The result is the result of the joint action between the CGU and the AGU (General Advocacy of the Union), which operate in an integrated manner in the conduct of the agreements, from negotiation to formalization, as established by the Anti -Corruption Law ().

The leniency agreements, provided for in the Anti -Corruption Law, allow companies that voluntarily collaborate with investigations obtain exemption or reduction of the planned sanctions, such as fines and inidnence. Since 2017, CGU and AGU have signed 32 agreements with companies investigated for illicit acts, resulting in the recovery of more than $ 10 billion.

In addition to the financial impact, agreements have promoted structural changes in signatory companies, which are committed to adopting integrity programs and internal control mechanisms. This movement has generated a more ethical and collaborative business environment, encouraging the exchange of information for investigations and accountability of others involved in illicit schemes.

The brand achieved reaffirms the strategic role of CGU in the construction of a more efficient public administration and in the strengthening of corruption prevention.
