From the savior to risk: Austria’s forest becomes a problem for the climate

In a month, the domestic climate researcher community in Austria will publish the most important climate report of the decade. Since 2022, scientists from various universities and institutions have been working on the “Second Austrian Termis of the Status on Climate Change”. In it, a development will play an important role that has so far been underexpected in public: the climate balance of the forest.
