INSS pensioners who had improper discounts should start to be reimbursed from the next payment, when R $ 298 million will be returned, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin said on Sunday (11).
According to him, the Attorney General of the Union (AGU) requested the blockade of R $ 2.5 billion in cash and assets of entities and companies to reimburse retired and pensioners who did not authorize any discount but were injured.
In addition, the vice president again said that the problem began in the previous management and that the current government has been acting to return the values improperly discounted and punish those involved in the fraud. “It is important to say that this problem has not started now, unfortunately it started back, but it will end now,” he said during a visit to the 5th National Agrarian Reform Fair, promoted by the Landless Workers Movement in the White Water Park, in São Paulo.
Alckmin also commented that Caixa Econômica Federal evaluates means of meeting in person retired and pensioners who do not have access to digital channels or do not know how to use them.
The vice president also said that part of the people who were injured have already received communication, but that it is possible to inform the INSS, through an application, whether or not agreed with discounts.
