Tens of thousands of people demonstrated on Sunday in about 60 cities, demanding that the (AfD) be outlawed, following its official classification as a “BFV) organization of the Federal Protection Service (BFV).
The main gathering took place in Berlin, where 7,500 protesters gathered at the Brandenburg Gate. With the central slogan “Finally, the excuses, a ban of AfD now!”, High rallies were still made in Munich and Hamburg, as well as in Leipzig, Dresden, Bochum, Nuremberg, Gowingen, Visbaden, many others. According to police, the demonstrations were completed peacefully.
The organizers of the mobilization are calling for the government to initiate the prohibition of AfD. “The issue of the ban is not political, but legal – but they are the politicians who have to act,” they said in their statement.
