On Thursday 8th May, the Czech Republic and Slovakia shocked the report of the death of the legendary actor and the President of the International Festival of Karlova Vary Jiří Bartoška († 78). He has been struggling with health problems for many years. He was diagnosed for the first time in 2014 for the first time. He underwent chemotherapy and seemed to win, but in 2023 the insidious disease returned.
Family, friends, colleagues and fans hoped to beat cancer again. This time the legend has failed. The death of Bartoška was hit by many well -known faces of Czech and Slovak show business, including the favorite singer Pal Habera. Bartoška entered the history of Czech cinematography
