The American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander was delivered by Hamas to the Red Cross in Gaza.
Alexander, 21, was serving in an Israeli army infantry unit on the Gaza border when he was captured during the October 7 attacks.
Of the 251 hostages kidnapped during Hamas attacks, 59 remain in Gaza, of which 24 are believed to be alive.

The government of Israel states that there will be “a safe corridor” in Gaza for Alexander’s release, but has not committed to a ceasefire.
US President Donald Trump, who travels to the Middle East on Tuesday (13), said Alexander’s liberation is “great news.”
The Hamas announcement is considered as a “goodwill gesture” before Trump’s arrival in the region.
