The derby between Benfica and Sporting, held last Saturday at Estádio da Luz, ended in a draw, but outside the four lines it was Inês Aires Pereira who gave to speak. The actress was in a cabin with a Benfica nightgown at the invitation of Sagres, but during the game she realized that after all she supported… the opponent.
“When the game started, I realized what my club was,” he said. “I started to cheer for the Trincão and Gyökeres. Now I have to go to Alvalade to better notice the scene.”
The moment he caused the greatest controversy was when he took Benfica’s nightgown and threw it to the ground, a gesture that quickly generated criticism on social networks.
Faced with the wave of negative comments, the actress reacted: “I shot the nightgown to the floor when I admitted it was from Sporting. This is not done, but I did not know. It was my mistake, I take.”
The next day, he returned to Instagram to reinforce the apology and explain the context: “I don’t realize football, I don’t know the social rules or codes. I was living the moment with friends and thrill me. But as I’m ignorant, I gave tent.”
Inês stressed that his attitude had no intention of offending the club or adherents: “It was a gesture without evil, without contempt. I use humor as a way to communicate, never intended to hurt … I liked that football was just a sport, not a field of combat. There are comments that hurt and scare.”
Inês Aires Pereira is a little shame.
