Will parents soon be faced with a juicy fine if they refuse a parents’ discussion at their children’s school? According to Education Minister Christoph Return (NEOS), this could soon become a reality. Lower Austria is used as a model: Parents of kindergarten children are obliged there from September 1st to perceive a parent discussion if this is requested by kindergarten – otherwise there will be a penalty or a replacement sentence of six weeks.
