Federal Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes suspended the diplomatic passport of former President Fernando Collor de Mello on Monday (12/5).

Last week, Moraes Piduy the suspension of Collor’s passport. However, the Federal Police (PF) informed the Supreme that it was not possible to follow the suspension, as the document had been issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
With this, the rapporteur of the case issued a letter to the folder to suspend Collor de Mello’s diplomatic passport, and banned the former president from absent from the country.
Arrested since April 25, Collor began to serve house arrest on May 1, after presentation of medical reports that pointed to the need for change in the penalty due to serious diseases suffered by him, who was sentenced to 8 years and 10 months in prison for passive corruption, money laundering and criminal organization.
