Rosemberg Joaquim de Santana was arrested in the south of São Paulo after an anonymous report; investigators investigate the participation of at least five people

The case is investigated as femicide. The 54 -year -old man was located in the Quarry Region, south of the capital, after an anonymous complaint. The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) confirmed the arrest and reported that it was taken to the Department of Homicides and Protection of the Person (DHPP). He is identified as Rosemberg Joaquim de Santana.
According to the investigation, the death of the teacher would have been commissioned by her former partner, Fernanda Fazio, 45, jealous. Fazio surrendered to the police on Friday (9) and had the temporary arrest decreed. Police investigate the participation of at least five people in the crime. In addition to Fazio and Rosemberg, was also arrested João Paulo Bourwuin, arrested on May 7, suspected of driving the victim’s car after the murder.
Ivo Resende dos Santos, another suspect named as an executor, is on the run. A fifth person, a woman who appears in security images abandoning the teacher’s car, is also investigated – the court still analyzes the arrest request.
Fernanda Bonin disappeared in the late afternoon of April 27, after leaving home in the West Zone to help Fazio, who alleged mechanical problems in the car. The body was found the next morning, with signs of strangulation, and the teacher’s car was abandoned in the southern region hours later.
The case was initially treated as murder, but after the advancement of investigations and the emergence of new evidence, it was treated as femicide, motivated by a passion crime. The steps are still in progress to locate the fugitive suspect and complete the inquiry.
