Silvio Costa Filho (ports and airports) had a schedule with two companies from China to present the R $ 6 billion project
The Minister of Ports and Airports, said this Thursday (13.MAI.2025) that the Chinese companies with whom he met during the President’s (PT) trip to Beijing will participate in the auction of. The event is scheduled for August 1.
On Monday (12.MAI), Costa Filho met with executives from CCCC (China Communications Construction Company) and CSEC (China State Construction Engineering Corporation). Companies’ participation should come in the form of consortium with Brazilian companies.
“In the next 30 days, a set of companies will go to Brazil to participate in the construction of consortia, we have observed that these companies have signaled the possibility of making consortia to participate in consortia. It is a clear indication that the auction will not be desert.”Costa Filho said in conversation with journalists in Beijing.
The presentation of the Final Project of the Santos-Guarujá Tunnel will be on June 5 at the headquarters of B3 (São Paulo Stock Exchange). It is the largest project in PAC (Growth Acceleration Program), with a budget of R $ 6 billion.
It will be the 1st submarine tunnel of Latin America. It will serve vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. The stretch that passes under the sea and will connect the cities of Santos and Guarujá will be built 21 meters deep and will be 860 meters.
The project also includes the granting of ships’ access dredging to the port of Santos and urban mobility works around the tunnel. Construction should start in 2026.
EMBRAER
The minister said his commitments in China also included the Chinese government’s approach to Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. He said the Chinese are interested in acquiring Brazilian aircraft, but this will be a long -term negotiation.
“There is already a dialogue today from the Chinese government with Embraer so that we can seek this partnership in Brazilian aviation”said the minister.
