Who headed the request were the presidents of Independência and Rio Branco-AC, José Eugênio de Leão Braga and Valdemar Neto, respectively. According to them, Araújo could not perform the function exempt way since he would have a bond with one of the clubs present in the Federation, Santa Cruz. The businessman, known for his supermarket chain, was vice president of the federation before the death of the former president.
“The TJD was filed a lawsuit to discuss the current president of the Federation (Acre Football). Let’s fight to take the man,” Neto said in an interview with GE.

Despite the conflict, according to the current president, everything would be within the conformities for him to continue to hold office, as he resigned from the Santa Cruz-AC administration. Nevertheless, the businessman is still the majority partner of the club.
What did you say about it?
“I renounce management. Even as an investor, I can stop running the club and take over the Federation, according to Federation Statute and Club Statute as well, ”he said about a month ago in an interview with GE.
The document also points out that the current president should reflect on the decision to continue leading the federation. “May your landlord reflect, with serenity and public spirit, on the convenience of renouncing office, as a gesture of respect for legality, sports ethics and collective confidence deposited in this centenary institution,” says part of the document.
