The expansion of Global Eggs occurs in a context of a frank increase in exports of Brazilian eggs to the United States, amid the scarcity that plagues the country due to an outbreak of aviary flu that has killed nearly 170 million chickens, turkeys and other birds since 2022.
According to data from the Brazilian Association of Animo Protein (ABPA), for 4,300 metric tons, driven by the strong demand from importers in the US and Japan.
In terms of revenue, Brazilian egg shipments generated US $ 10.57 million, an increase of almost 253%, ABPA said.
