The 16 -year -old had to receive hospital treatment, police said, without clarifying, however, the reasons for the shooter. In a statement, the PSP said that the incident took place on Sunday, at 20:25 in the Loures area, and the young man was transported to the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon.

In the statement issued by the PSP National Directorate, it is said that, through the Loures Squadron of the Lisbon Metropolitan Command (Cometlis), “he was aware of information transmitted by a driver of a passenger transport bus, which moments before vehicle had been hit by firearm shots”.
After the complaint, the PSP “stressed efforts to intercep and identify the eventual suspects, at the same time mobilizing medical emergency media for the Loures Squad with a view to helping any victims, and there is a need to transport a 16 -year -old to the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon.”
PSP explains that, based on the description of the incident and the characteristics of the suspect and the vehicle used, he was able to realize that the suspect could be a police, having been able to identify it and confirming that he was a PSP agent to provide service at Cometlis.
In addition to the usual preservation of traces and the scene of the incident, the PSP has reported the facts to the Public Prosecution Service and the Judiciary Police, which assumed the investigation of the case. On Sunday, the PSP made the “precautionary seizure of the firearm” of the police.
The Cometlis Commander immediately determined the opening of disciplinary procedure and proposed the precautionary measure of preventive suspension of functionswith which PSP National Director Luís Carrilho agreed, determining his immediate application. May be indicted for attempted murder and attack on road transport security.
“PSP regrets the situation, wishing quick improvements to the wounded young man, waiting for the criminal inquiry and the circumstances in which this incident occurred, developing in parallel all due diligence within the disciplinary proceedings already established,” says the statement.
