The Ministry of the Interior (MV) of the Slovak Republic will not buy caps from Rempo. The concluded framework contracts terminate and files a criminal complaint. TASR informed the press department of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic on Tuesday. At the same time, Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok (Voice-SD) decided to cancel the tender tender and overalls in which the company participated.
The Ministry stressed that there was no headgear within the framework contracts. Last week, the resort also started an internal audit, comparing the prices of items with other contracting authorities.
“Although we do not have the outcome of the audit yet, we have decided to file a criminal complaint against an unknown offender in order to make the law enforcement authorities to investigate any possible errors of the Ministry of the Interior or Supplier.
As Šutaj Eštok added, he cares about transparency and therefore A new international tender will announce a new international tender for the procurement of caps for cops and firefighters, for overalls and gloves. He also believes that suppliers’ bids will match real prices. “If someone has made a mistake in this process, personal responsibility will also be informed,” he concluded.
Last week, the Ministry of the Interior reported that it had signed framework agreements for the supply of headgear for members of the Police Force and the Fire and Rescue Corps. The caps are more than EUR 2 842 136 with VAT, in the case of hats by more than EUR 199 905 with VAT. The framework agreements concern the supply of headgear for police officers and firefighters for the next two years. The contracts were criticized by the opposition party SaS and Slovakia. They considered them overpriced.
