“The Gold Race”: Centenary Chaplin work will be shown in Cannes

Released in July 1925, “The Golden Rush” Charlie Chaplin full 100 years of your debut. In honor of the occasion, the Cannes Classics is showing the movie. The work is at Côte d’Azur, France.

Charlie Chaplin idealized this movie from a photograph of Klondike’s Gold Race in 1896. In this same context, Chaplin released “The Gold Race”. The story accompanies a poor lone prospector, trapped in a blizzard. The man needs to flee in an isolated cabin, which he needs to share with a criminal and another prospector.

While hunger threatens him, the prospector ends up falling in love For a dancer in the city, which makes life difficult.

This contains very famous scenes, such as the of the shoe being eaten and Dance with the rolls. Although the film was released as, later, in 1945, the filmmaker himself made a second version, slightly shorter and with a soundtrack.
