Huge elegantly perforated leaves and stem rising after the best natural support – this is a beautiful and impressive monster that will revive every interior. Fifty years ago, it was almost mandatory equipment of every apartment, today it seems that we forgot it a bit – and that’s a shame. But we can fix it.
Monster looks as if it just “came” from the tropical forest, where it originally comes from. Her natural home is Central and South America, where the local people can see it really big – it can grow up to twenty -meter. It helps her airy roots to attach to the trees she crawls. In the room, of course, we will not see such a size, but the Monster can pull most of the attention.

The big advantage of the monster is its unpretentious care and also relatively easy propagation. These are also the reasons for which it used to be so popular even in a time that did not want tropical plants so much. However, a quality substrate, ideally a mixture of peat, perlite and humus, is sufficient for a longer period of time, especially if you transplant it every year.

As mentioned, the monster multiplies quite easily by cuttings. Simply cut off part of the stem with one leaf and airy root. In water, or in a humid substrate, then quite simply and quickly root. As soon as another new sheet begins to grow, we can transplant it into a regular substrate. It is most likely to be well attached and grows like a race.
