Ventura anticipates "very absolute majority" between arrival and ad

The arrival leader maintains the conviction that arrives will be the most voted party and argues that only a victory for his party on the right will ensure stability.

The Leader of the arrival considered on Tuesday that the victory of the AD-PSD/CDS-PP coalition in Sunday’s legislatures “is a possibility on the table” and anticipated that voters will give a “very absolute majority” on the right, with their party.

“If Luís Montenegro wins, which is a possibility on the table, if Luís Montenegro wins, we will not have stability in the coming months in Portugal,” warned André Ventura.

Since the start of the election campaign, the arrival leader has been convinced that his party will be the most voted on Sunday, refusing until he responds to any scenarios of governability. Asked if this is a change in speech, André Ventura has denied and repeated that “the arrival will win these elections.”

“It has not changed anything. Our conviction is the same, the one we will win,” he said, arguing that “if Luís Montenegro’s scenario overcomes can be viable, it is a bad scenario for the country” because, in his opinion, the PSD leader “is unable to be Prime Minister.”

Asked about a possible understanding between PSD and IL, he devalued, pointing out that “the polls say it is enough and PSD will have an absolute majority in Parliament, this is evidence.”

“For us, enough, it is not enough to be numerical absolute majorities, there has to be majorities of integrity, there has to be majorities of transparency. It doesn’t matter that arrives and PSD will have absolute majority, as apparently go, according to all polls. Most, in fact, very absolute,” he said.

André Ventura pointed out that it is not a “matter of mathematics, it is a matter of decency and is a matter of integrity.”

“The point is that, for us, not only tells the numbers, does not tell that there are 20 more 20 or 30 plus 20. Most is not of numbers, is of integrity, decency and is against corruption. Luís Montenegro has shown that it can neither have the integrity nor the ability to fight corruption. This is fatal to a policy majority,” he said.

The leader insisted that “there is only one condition of stability, it is enough to beat the elections.”

The president of the arrival refused to comment on the entrance to the campaign of the son of Luís Montenegro, who is also a managing partner of Spinumviva, saying that “the wife and son of Luís Montenegro are not the object of this election campaign.”
