Alan Rick goes to the embassy of Japan to defend road connecting Cruzeiro do Sul to Pucalpa

“Japan is a worldwide reference in preventing natural disasters. We need to bring this expertise to protect the population of Acre, who suffers year after year with the floods of the Acre River,” said Alan Rick. Another point addressed during the visit to the Japanese embassy in Brazil concerns the proposal to build the highway between Cruzeiro do Sul (AC) and

Pucallpa (Peru), about 250 kilometers through the Serra do Divisor forest, to allow strategic access to the port of Chancay, in the Pacific, 80 kilometers from Lima, the Peruvian capital, which would reduce the navigation time between Brazil and Asian markets, including Japan.

“We already have a road ready to Peru by Assis Brasil. But this route faces technical limitations, such as steep climbs and weight restrictions. We need a new road, with modern and environmentally responsible layout, connecting the Juruá Valley to the city of Pucallpa. There are only 240 km long, 140 km into Brazilian territory and 100 km into Peru. explained the senator.
