All you need is 1 teasp

The winged flower, also known as a lily of the room, is a popular potted plant in Poland, which adorns our homes with its elegant white flowers. What’s more, the winged flower is also known for its air cleansing properties, which is useful especially in the autumn and winter. And although it is not a complicated plant in care, it happens that for unknown reasons it does not bloom, its leaves fall down and grows more slowly. Then we are looking for the cause of this state, because it seems to us that we have met all the needs of our wingworm, and this one is still poor. Often the problem lies in the malnutrition of the plant, so it is worth providing its nutrients and microelements, which will support not only growth, but also. Yes, one teaspoon of baking soda is enough to stimulate this potted plant to lush flowering.

Homemade fertilizer for flowering. How to prepare and use it?

Due to its properties, baking soda is recommended as a plant care agent. Baking soda has an alkaline reaction, which is why it can theoretically help in lowering soil acidity. The wingworm prefers a slightly acidic substrate (pH 5.5-6.5), so in the case of too alkaline soil, soda could help restore the optimal pH. In addition, soda has some antifungal properties, which could help combat fungal diseases that sometimes attack the winged flower. How to prepare? Add a teaspoon of baking soda to 1 liter of water and mix intensively until it dissolves completely. Water the winged flower with such a fertilizer. Repeat the procedure not more than once every 30 days, remembering to check the soil pH earlier to make sure it is suitable for the winged flower.

Care of the wingworm. How to take care of him so that he blooms and not waste?

As I mentioned, it is not too complicated. Just follow a few simple rules for irrigation and the right position so that the winged flower is green and bloom. Here they are:

  • Put the plant in a not very sunny place (the window sills are rather falling off).
  • Avoid places exposed to drafts, because the winged flower does not like them.
  • Water it systematically – the soil should be moist, but not wet.
  • Try to systematically nourish it with fertilizers to the wingworm.
