Argentina monthly inflation retreats to 2.8% in April

The decrease was 0.9 percentage point compared to March; accumulated rate in 12 months was 47.3%

Monthly inflation in Argentina was 2.8% in April 2025. The result represents a retreat of 0.9 percentage point.

The data were released by the (National Institute of Statistics and Census) this Wednesday (14.MAI.2025). This is the report (PDF – 1 MB in Spanish).

The restaurants of restaurants and hotels (4.1%) and recreation and culture (4%) were the ones that had the highest increase. The domestic equipment (0.9%) and transportation (1.7%) sectors suffered the lowest oscillations in April.

The accumulated rate in 12 months was 47.3%. The fall was 8.6 percentage points compared to the 55.9% recorded in March.

Interest in Argentina

The Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina from 32% to 29% per year on January 30. In, the monetary authority stated that the decision was based on the “Consideration of the consolidation observed in the expectations of falling inflation”.
