Alesp (Legislative Assembly of) approved on Tuesday (13) a bill that grants a salary increase of 5% to the governor, the deputy governor and the secretaries of state.
The deputies attended the pressures of union entities of the functionalism, whose salary ceiling is equated to that of the governor. The increase to the governor (Republicans) will create a waterfall effect that will grant readjustment to these servers. His remuneration will go from R $ 34.5 thousand to R $ 36.3 thousand.
The initial proposal was a 9.67%readjustment. After discussions at the house on Tuesday, deputies decided to review the rate to 5%, the same to be granted to the servers.
The bill that proposed the readjustment did not bring a study with the forecast of financial impact with the approval of the text. The budget for personnel and social charge expenses this year is R $ 150.4 billion.
Alesp had already granted a 50% increase to the governor’s salary and members of the first level of state administration at the end of 2022, before Tarcisio’s inauguration. Since then, there have been no new readjustments.
The option to put the text in voting has now been because Alesp discussed a wider readjustment package, predicting 5% increase for most categories of functionalism, such as teachers.
The deputies also voted a bill that grants salary allowance to about 91,000 servants whose base salary is less than the minimum wage.
The opposition countertops, the and the, presented amendments asking that, in the case of the servers, the readjustment be retroactive in March, but there was no agreement for the approval of these complementary texts. The parties protested against the fact that the percentage granted to the first echelon initially greater than that applied to other servers.
Voting occurred symbolically. PSOL deputies positioned themselves against the increase for the governor.
The text under discussion was a substitute presented to a project from the board of the house protocol last December.
“The lack of appreciation of servers, including the maintenance of remuneration conditions, has effects on their financial, physical and psychological health, affecting performance, efficiency and, consequently, the quality in the provision of public services,” says the project justification.
