He died in Salvador, on Tuesday night (13), the religious leader Dilvado Franco, at the age of 98. The Bahian medium had fought a bladder cancer since November last year and, tonight, had multiple organ failureaccording to the advisory of the Spiritist Center Mansão do Caminho, an entity represented by Divaldo.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday (14), at the Mansion Gymnasium, in the Bahian capital, from 9am to 8pm. Already the burial will take place on Thursday (15), at 10am, in the Bosque da Paz Cemetery.
Known as the Ambassador of Peace in the World, Divaldo was responsible for over 20,000 conferences, held in over 2,500 cities and 71 countries.
Born on May 5, 1927, in Feira de Santana, Bahia, the religious leader became one of the greatest spiritist speakers today and stood out for his strong dedication to humanitarian causes.
His trajectory began to gain prominence in 1952, when he founded the Mansion of the Way. The space today houses a large educational and socio -assistance complex, serving more than 5,000 people daily – among children, youth, adults, the elderly – in conditions of extreme misery – seeking material, educational and spiritual help.
With more than 260 published works he also left a literary legacy, many psychographed from stories of various spirits. Divaldo’s works were translated into 17 languages.
Among so many honors for the work of charity, Divaldo Franco also had the life and work portrayed in the cinema through the movie “Divaldo – The Messenger of Peace”, released in 2019.
Divaldo Franco left no biological children, but was recognized as the father of about 685 people who welcomed in recent decades and leaves a legacy of love and light.
