Europeans must be “prepared to mark destructive sanctions” to force her to stop her war in Ukraine, French diplomat leader Jean-Noel Baro said today, referring to a plan of sanctions of US Senate Linds.
Baro told the French television network BFMTV that he will meet Graham tomorrow, Thursday, “who devised a package of extremely powerful sanctions, with 500% duty on Russian oil imports and 500% in countries that continue to import Russian oil today.”
“Russia has found ways to bypass the exclusion of Europe and the US, so closing the cannula we will catch Russia from the throat,” he continued.
The European Union today approved its 17th sanctions package against Russia, targeting the “ghosts” tankers used to bypass existing sanctions.
But “we have to go farther, because sanctions so far have not prevented Vladimir Putin from continuing his offensive war against Ukraine,” Baros insisted, estimating that there should be work on new measures “that could cause a good suffocation for all.”
“I wish Europe will in turn be able to bargain [απειλές για] sanctions on hydrocarbons, “the minister added.
Talks about Ukraine are projected to take place tomorrow in Turkey. The Ukrainian president, who goes there, called on his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to come, without receiving an answer at the moment.
