North Korea strengthens the army, Kim Jong-un talks about the anti-immperialist front.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un supervised the course of combined tactical exercises for special operations. He stressed that the “most important” task of the North Korean armed forces is to fully prepare for war, the state media said on Wednesday. TASR reports on this on Wednesday’s report by Jonhap.
According to the North Korean news agency KCNA, the exercises took place on Tuesday. “Our revolutionary armed forces are currently in charge of not only a few front, but also the most important of them – the anti -immperialist class front. The most important task is now a complete preparation for the war,” Kcna Kima quoted. In his words, maneuvers will help “turn the whole army into elite units”.
According to Jonhap, Kim emphasized the concept of the anti -immperialist class front, apparently to justify the deployment of the DPRK troops in Russia in the war of Moscow against Ukraine. The state media shared footage of North Korean soldiers in masking uniforms, such as serving unmanned drones. The South Korean Spy Agency has already seen indications that North Korean troops deployed in Russia are learning about the tactics of the fight against drones.
North Korea in April for the first time admitted that it had sent units to Russia. During the visit of the Russian embassy in the metropolis of Pyongyang last week, the DPRK leader described the involvement of the country in the war in Ukraine as “justified”. It considers this to be exercised by the rights arising from the defense agreement concluded with Moscow.
“It seems that the latest military exercises of the North have focused on the exchange of experience in modern warfare in the whole armed forces, based on real experience of forces for special operations from the Russian-Ukrainian war,” said Hong Min, head of the research worker of the Think-Tank of the Korean Institute for National Unification.
