Central Committee of the Slovak Republic fundamentally It rejects the dissemination of misleading information by M. Holečková’s deputy on the purchase of alcohol for the purposes of the Government Office and is asking for an apology. We consider the Members’ claims to be purposeful and aimed at distorting facts in order to harm the reputation of the Office of the Government and its representatives.
Published framework contracts for the purchase of food and alcoholic beverages do not serve for personal consumption of representatives of the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republicas the Member is trying to suggest suggestively, but to ensure the operation of the Bôrik Hotel, which provides services not only for the needs of the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic and other state authorities, but also for commercial purposes.
Hotel Bôrik organizes events, conferences and other activities, and its sales are an important source of income of the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic. In 2024, the hotel’s sales increased by 30 % due to the change in management and effective management decisions. With the growth of the number of events and their scope, the cost of ensuring quality services, including the purchase of food and drinks, which are a standard part of the hotel services, has also naturally increased.
The deputies listed by the amounts and quantities of alcohol are taken out of the context and do not reflect the true nature of these purchases. These are framework contracts that cover a longer period and are related to the overall operation of the Bôrik Hotel. We consider such misleading interpretations unfair and manipulative.
The Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic always proceeds in accordance with the Act on Free Access to Information. As regards the request of the Member of the MEP, the Government Office proceeded in accordance with the legislation in force and provided a reply in accordance with the law. Detailed information on the management of the Bôrik Hotel and Contracts is publicly available in the Central Register of Treaties, which guarantees transparency.
We call on MEP Martina Holečková to stop spreading false and misleading informationwhich disregard the work of the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic and its employees. We ask her for a public apology for your unfounded and false claims. The Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic continues to fulfill its tasks in favor of the citizens of the Slovak Republic and rejects any attempts to discredit its activities.
