You call and nothing. Just a glance full of contempt, leaving the opposite direction or complete ignoring. In short, cats do not work like dogs, who at the first call enthusiastically run. Yet there are ways to call the cat. Just communicate with her language.
The call for call may sound like a discipline reserved only for dogs, but even cats can be learned reliably when they really care. Especially if they go out with you, perhaps on the harness, or they are just a bit of adventurous nature and like to explore every corner. But one unexpected situation like stray insects, relaxed leash or an unexpected flight of the bird, and find yourself at the moment when it is really important to respond to your call. Whether your cat is a seasoned explorer, or rather a domestic ghost, the first step towards summoning through building confidence and simple training. The name you chose her is just a sound for her. Until you show her that this particular sound is worth listening.

How to teach a cat to come up on call
Training of calling cats is not exactly the same as the dog, but the principles of reward and repetition work successfully IUs. It is only necessary to approach them with respect for their loner nature. Start in a quiet environment without disturbing influences, ideally in a room where the cat feels safe. Use her name and once she turns her head or looks at you, reward her, ideally in two seconds, a small treat and praise in a friendly tone. Repeat this situation several times in short, maximum three -minute sessions. The aim is to create a positive association between name and reward.
Once the cat begins to respond regularly, you can proceed to change. Try to call it from a greater distance, in a different position or in another environment. Be patient and proceed in small steps. But do not only stay with voice stimuli. Research shows that cats often respond faster to a combination of voice and visual signals, such as an outstretched hand or a friendly nod of head. In some cats, the visual signal may even prove more effective than the call itself. When they get used to the new form of communication, you can start rewarding gradually by playing, caressing or other positive interaction your cat likes.
But do not expect miracles right away. Some cats can be called in a few days, others need weeks for it, and some may never learn it 100 %. It is important not to give up, not to call the cat unnecessarily outside the training, and most of all, never call it for something unpleasant, for example, to put it in the crate. And remember, even fine sound changes such as the tone of the voice, the type of summoning or the way you look at the cat can play a crucial role in communication. Every cat is different, and that’s what the whole magic of learning is to call them.
The patience of the cat brings
Teaching a cat come to call is perhaps running on a longer track, but it’s definitely not impossible. Above all, it takes respect for its nature, consistent approach and a dose of patience. Every little progress is a step towards mutual understanding and a stronger relationship. And even if you may never welcome you at the door like a dog, knowing that it will respond to your call, even with a quiet arrival from the next room, it can be the greatest reward for cat breeders.
