As the Kovaříci plants harm
Yes, the nasty beetle is the Kovařík. Mostly brown beetle big about two centimeters. Not only is he small and he looks at him, he is also pretty cunning. When he feels in danger, he pretends to be his own death and is placed with legs up. When the danger passes, again, the trusses rush to the feet and calmly fly further. They are most active in May to September and prefer flower gardens and grass. This means that if you have a garden, it is quite possible that there are already a few kovaries.
Adult Kovařík cannot harm your plants, but if you have it in the garden, it is probably because it has put eggs near the roots of plants. As a pest in this case, we can consider its larvae. They hatch from the egg and drill into the soil where they feed on the roots of the plants. The problem is that this process can take several months or even years, depending on the type of Kovařík. And the nightmare of every gardener is that someone is destroying his crop by feasting on the roots of his plants.
How to prevent this
In this case, even chemistry will not help either. However, if you want to kill the larvae, it is possible to achieve this by deep soil processing. The soil should be as greate as possible, of course so that it does not hurt the plant. When the soil is dry, the Kovarians crawl up to a meter deep below the ground. Regular lime will also help. The use of a rotovator is also highly recommended. Be careful, these small larvae can make the garden a nice glade.
